How This Blog Works

Hello dear cousins. I've created this blog so that we cousins can plan a reunion for June 20th, 2015 in Williamsburg, VA. It's a private blog that only "authors" can see.  I figure we don't need the whole world knowing when any of us are going to be out of town and I also hope to limit spam comments.  I didn't really want to plan this reunion on Facebook because they're pretty free and easy with our information. If it's generic info I don't care, but again, on reunion day an awful lot of people won't be at home and we really don't need to broadcast that info to The Internets.

So - who is an author? I intend to add everyone in the family as an author but to do that I'll need their email addresses. I have about 25 emails but I know that's not nearly the whole tribe, especially since we're opening this up to Thorns as well as Bonos.  Please share other addresses with me so I can add them. If you know someone who has not been added, please tell her (or him, of course) to email me (and tell me which branch of the family tree he or she sits upon) at:

bbhaile at gmail dot com

As an "author" you can make a post and of course you can comment on any of the posts. Also - there's a survey in the upper right corner of the page. At the moment, Buddy and Gail Bono have offered their big yard for this event but if it gets beyond 50 people we'd need to move it to a bigger place and Buddy, dear - that would be your responsibility since you are the man on the spot. I vote for a park because, hey. June.

I hope everyone will feel welcome and free to talk about creating this reunion. I haven't seen many of you in years and there are other cousins I've never met and I'm looking forward to getting to know them. I'm sure we'll love hearing about your life and seeing pictures of your world. Loading pictures on this blog is pretty easy. You can either click the picture icon above or just copy and paste into a post.  I am hoping everyone who participates in this party planning will feel this way. Of course, this is a shared space created for a purpose, so if you have private things you want to discuss with someone who's also an author, it's probably better to do that via private communication.

So dear hearts - spread the word, urge your siblings to accept my invitation - put in your 2¢ worth.
